Black Bears Host Hot Stove Events

The Cowlitz Black Bears will be holding a series of “Hot Stove” meetings, hosted by head coach Grady Tweit, with various groups during the off-season this winter.

Last night opened up the first Hot Stove meeting with various Youth Sports organizations, where all in attendance had a chance to meet other youth sports organizers and share ideas to advance youth sports in our community.

“It was a great night, with a great turnout”, said Grady Tweit.  “It was fun to talk with the various athletic groups in our area.”

Members from area baseball and softball leagues, as well as representatives from wrestling and soccer leagues were also in attendance.

“The Cowlitz Black Bears are looking forward to building our relationships with all these organizations,” said Tweit.

The Black Bears will host another Hot Stove event in November for community organizations.  Area scouting troops, church organizations and other community groups are welcome to attend.  It will be held in The Birch Room at the Kelso Red Lion, Thursday, November 17th from 6:30pm to 8pm.  Admission is free.  Appetizers will be provided.

Keep an eye out for future Hot Stove events in February, March, April and May.   Call Cowlitz Black Bears office at 360-703-3195 for more information.
