Game Story. Kelowna, BC, Canada. July 10, 2013- A night after the Black Bears were blown out by the Kelowna Falcons, Cowlitz turned the tables on Wednesday night, thrashing the Falcons 13-3 and leaving Kelowna with the series win.
The Black Bears took an early lead in the ballgame, and never looked back. Cowlitz scored once in the first and twice in the second, with Austin Grebeck (Oregon) and Ryan Aguilar (Santa Ana) contributing RBI hits.
The Falcons answered with two runs in the bottom of the second inning, courtsesy of a home run by first baseman Chandler Tracy, to narrow the Black Bears' lead to one.

Singles by Grebeck, Slate Miller (Saddleback CC) and Taylor Bryant (CS Fullerton) led off the top the third, as seven consecutive Black Bears reached base safely to spark a six run inning. Several walks, along with singles by Kyle Knigge (LC State) and Danny Recio (UC San Diego) contributed to the big inning, and helped set the tone for the remainder of the game.
Cowlitz tallied three more runs in the top of the sixth and one in the top of the seventh to seal the win and the season series against Kelowna.
Knigge had another outstanding night, going four for five with a walk and five runs batted in. Aguilar extended his streak of reaching base safely to twenty-four games, and Devyn Bolasky singled to extend his hitting streak to fourteen. The Black Bears totaled 15 hits in all.
Starter Trent Wilson (Grand Canyon), Jon Bjorklund (Mt. Hood), Coley Bruns (Grand Canyon) and Brian McAfee (Cornell) scattered eleven Falcon hits. The pitching quartet recorded 10 strikeouts in total, and the Black Bears played error-free defense.
