"I'm honored to be the next voice of the Cowlitz Black Bears," said Van Noty. "I would like to thank General Manager Jim Appleby and the entire Black Bears staff.  I can't wait to spend the summer in Longview painting the picture for the great Black Bears fans. I'm also humbled to be the voice of the 2016 West Coast League All-Star Game. My goal is to deliver a broadcast the entire league will be proud of."

Van Noty brings nine years of broadcasting experience to the Black Bears. He currently works for California Baptist University as the play-by-play broadcaster for their baseball and softball teams.  During the Fall and Winter Travis broadcasts ice hockey. He is the radio play-by-play broadcaster and head of media relations for Cal State Northridge, part of the TV broadcast team for the LA Kings High School Hockey League and fills in as the TV voice of the Valencia Flyers Junior A team.

Travis has broadcasted several National tournaments for both the American Collegiate Hockey Association and the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association. He is also the TV voice of the SCAHA Finals every year.  Van Noty is a graduate of Cal State Northridge with a BA in Broadcast Journalism.
