LONGVIEW, Wash.- Port Angeles got revenge in game two Saturday handing Cowlitz their worst loss of the season 15-2.

     The Lefties jumped out big early scoring ten runs in the top of the second inning on eight hits while sending 14 batters to the plate. Port Angeles hit their league leading 27th and 28th home runs in the inning including a three run bomb over the barn.

     Two more runs came across in the fourth. A two out throwing error by the third baseman lead to a balk and an RBI single.

     The Lefties made it 13-0 in the fifth on another two out RBI single.

     Cowlitz finally got in the game in the bottom of the inning. Dalton Mitchell (R-SR Alabama A&M) led off with a double. After a single by Tanner Parker (JR Middle Tennessee State) put runners on the corners Kyle Sandstrom (JR Sacramento State) brought Mitchell home on an RBI sacrifice fly to left field.

     Port Angeles answered in the seventh. Another two out throwing error by the third baseman led to an RBI double which made it 14-1.

     Tony Boetto (SO Santa Clara) led off the bottom of the inning with a home run to right center. It was Boetto's first home run of the season.

     The final run for the Lefties came in the eighth. A walk and a single led to an RBI single.

     Starter Mitch Lines (SO Lower Columbia College) took the loss pitching just 1.2 innings giving up eight runs on seven hits with two strikeouts. The loss dropped Lines record to 1-1. Joe Solomon (SO University of the Pacific) then lasted 1.1 innings. Solomon gave up two runs on one hit and struck out one Lefty. Cody Turner (SO Chapman) pitched an inning and gave up two unearned runs on one hit and two strikeouts. Ryan Kaser (SO Lower Columbia College) lasted the longest of anyone going four innings and gave up three runs, two earned, on six hits and struck out a pair. Finally Christian Peters (JR University of Portland) pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts.

     The 15 runs and hits were the most Cowlitz has given up in a single game this season.

     Wyatt Stanley (RHP SO Edmonds College) starts in the rubber match Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM and following the game there will be a fireworks display.
