The Cowlitz Black Bears embark on their final six-game road trip of the 2024 season this weekend against the Sweets in Walla Walla.

The Black Bears will finish their home slate tonight against the Portland Pickles. The Black Bears look to avoid a sweep against the Pickles and clinch a winning home record. The Pickles can pull within a game of the top-seeded Corvallis Knights in the West Coast South Division. The Pickles won the series opener 7-2 and squeezed out a 9-6 win in ten innings on Wednesday night.

The Black Bears lead the season series against the Sweets 3-0, with a +17 run differential following a sweep two weeks ago in Longview. Walla Walla dropped two of three games earlier this week to the Knights but split their season series with the seven-time defending WCL champions. Cowlitz won the 2023 season series 5-1, sweeping the series in Walla Walla last June.

The Black Bear-Sweets series will begin on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. at Borleske Stadium in Walla Walla, WA. Game 2 on Wednesday is scheduled for 6:35 p.m., and the series finale will begin at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday.
