The Black Bears are back home for another midweek series, this time against the Corvallis Knights.
The Knights went 4-2 against the Black Bears in the season series last year. They won the first two games of the season against the Bears in Longview before the third game got rained out. They split the four-game series in Corvallis, where Cowlitz was the home team for game three. The Knights made the playoffs for the 17th straight time in 2024, but their streak of seven straight championships came to an end against the Portland Pickles in the WCL South Division Championship.
The Bears lost their last series on the road in Walla Walla against the Sweets. In three very close games, they would lose game one in ten innings on a walk-off single by Billy Scaldeferri. They won game two after scoring three in the ninth to take the victory 5-2. They lost the third game 6-4 after giving up two runs in the 8th inning.

The Knights are slumping to start 2025, starting the season 4-7 and are in the midst of a four game series against the Marion Berries. They have lost the first two out of three against Marion, who are playing a doubleheader at Goss Stadium where they will be the home team for the second game due to scheduling issues. They were swept by the reigning champion Pickles in their first series of the season.
