The Cowlitz Black Bears are happy to announce the signing of University of Washington incoming freshman Jake Leitgeb.
Leitgeb was a heavily recruited catcher. He is very smooth and a great receiver behind the plate, which pitchers will like to throw to. Leitgeb controls the running game with his quickness and cannon for an arm. Offensively, he has the ability to split either alley in any count.
“We are excited to have Leitgeb with us this season,” said Head Coach Grady Tweit.
Leitgeb is from Portland, Oregon, where he attended Lincoln High School.
