3 WSU Cougars Joining The Black Bears for 2017

The Cowlitz Black Bears announce the signings of Cougars David Wallum (So., P), Davis Baillie (RFr., P) and Corey Meyer (So., C) to the 2017 roster.

Wallum a graduate of Hudson Bay High School in Vancouver, WA. His first year of college baseball was at Linn-Benton Community College. David went 7-3 with a 3.24 ERA for the Roadrunners. He struck out 60 and allowed 49 hits in 58.1 innings.

Davis made seven appearances as a freshman for WSU last season, allowing 0 runs in 6.1 innings pitched. Baillie was shut down early due to an injury but is back healthy for the Cougars and they are expecting good things from him.

Meyer is another product from the NWAC who played his freshman year at Colleges of Spokane before transferring to Wazzu this year. Cory hit .333 with seven doubles and 19 RBIs for the Sasquatches. He has picked up from where he had left year ago for the Cougars in their first three games.
