Attention Black Bears fans! Make sure to welcome our boys home for the summer and show your support this weekend, Friday, May 31-Sunday, June 2, 2024. The Black Bears will host the seven-time defending West Coast League champion, Corvallis Knights.
Both teams open up West Coast League play fresh off postseason appearances in 2023. This series will be the first rematch of 2-3 seeds in the WCL South Divisional series from last year. Corvallis won the division with a 39-15 record. While the Black Bears went 33-21, making the playoff for the first time in eleven years.
The Knights and Black Bears split their regular season series 3-3 a year ago, with the home teams taking two of the three games in each series. The Black Bears capped off a thrilling come-from-behind victory in game one with a walk-off home run from slugger Marques Titialii. The Black Bears took a series lead into Corvallis, but the Knights would eventually take the series winning both games at home to advance to the South Divisional championship.
The Black Bears opening home series at David Story Field will begin on Friday at 6:35 p.m. Game 2 is scheduled for 6:35 p.m., then the series finale will start at 1:05 on Sunday. For more information about upcoming games, stats, or tickets, follow us on
