The Cowlitz Black Bears are thrilled to welcome Jack Connolly as the play-by-play broadcaster for the upcoming season. Connolly is a former college baseball player at St. Edward’s University where he will be entering his senior year. He is from Omaha, NE, and began his broadcasting career his senior year of high school where he called games for the girl basketball team. Connolly joined the St. Edward’s baseball program for the 2022 season and the fall portion of the 2023 season. In the summer of 2022, he served as an intern at the highest-rated news station in Omaha, NE, covering high school, college, and professional sports, including the DI Men’s College World Series.  During his time in the Lonestar state, Connolly has also worked behind the scenes with Longhorn Network covering Texas football, basketball, and volleyball. Connolly is currently a staff writer at Hilltop Views, the student-run newspaper at SEU and is also a broadcaster of St. Edward’s Athletics on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network. Just last summer, he served as the play-by-play voice of the Arroyo Seco Saints in the California Collegiate League.
