The Cowlitz Black Bears are thrilled to welcome Evan Patocka as the new play-by-play broadcaster for the 2025 season. Patocka is a San Diego native and a recent graduate of Sacramento State University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies. He worked with The State Hornet, Sac State’s main student news organization, hosting multiple podcasts, writing, and taking photos for various sports. He was also the main play-by-play voice of Sac State football for student-run radio KSSU. Last summer, he was a Production and Game Entertainment Intern with the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Most recently, he was a broadcaster with the California Winter League for their 2025 season. We are excited to have Evan calling our games in 15th season!
