The Black Bears are on the road for the third straight weekend as they head south to Springfield for a weekend series against the Drifters.
The Bears went 1-5 against Springfield in 2024, losing two of three at home and getting swept at the Hamlin Sports Complex. Springfield had a rough season last year, finishing 20-34 with an 8-19 second half, finishing dead last in the South division.
Cowlitz is in the midst of another midweek home series against the Corvallis Knights, in which they have lost the first two games of the series. They are now 4-10 and 0-8 at home, as they will try tonight to avoid the sweep and finally get a victory at David Story Field in the regular season.
