The Cowlitz Black Bears are excited to welcome a proven winner and versatile athlete to the 2025 roster. Please welcome, Utah Tech freshman pitcher, Talan Kelly. A standout at the high school level, the Talan helped lead the Warriors to two Utah 4A state championships and a runner-up finish, earning three varsity letters in baseball along the way.
During his senior season, he showcased his power at the plate with a .256 average, six doubles, five home runs, and 29 RBI. On the mound, he was dominant in relief—posting a 1-0 record with seven saves and 47 strikeouts in just 24.1 innings across 13 appearances. A true multi-sport athlete, he also earned first team all-state honors in football.
With championship experience and two-way ability, he brings toughness, versatility, and competitive fire to the Black Bears this summer.
